Genergy grew from many years of collaboration between Dame Jackie Daniel and Kate Eady, and from a shared conviction that accomplished people deserve the time, challenge and inspiration to think deeply about what comes next. Dame Jackie Daniel
Dame Jackie Daniel has spent her career leading people, organisations and systems through challenge, change and renewal. Beginning her professional life as a nurse, she progressed to become one of the NHS’s most experienced chief executives, serving for 22 years as a CEO and leading several prominent healthcare organisations.
Her career has taken her into some of the most demanding leadership environments imaginable. She has led major organisational turnarounds, rebuilt confidence following periods of significant difficulty and guided organisations through complexity, scrutiny and profound uncertainty. As Chief Executive of Newcastle Hospitals, she led one of the country’s largest teaching trusts through the COVID-19 pandemic, while also contributing to regional and national leadership across the NHS.
Alongside her executive roles, Jackie has chaired and contributed to influential national bodies, advised senior leaders and worked across organisational and sector boundaries to shape strategy, strengthen leadership and improve outcomes. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her services to healthcare.
When Jackie stepped away from full-time executive leadership in 2024, she did not see it as an ending. She saw it as an opportunity to reconsider how she wanted to live, lead and contribute. The transition required her to move beyond the identity, status and structure of a long-established career and to create a portfolio life grounded in purpose, freedom, creativity and continued impact.
Today, Jackie works as a strategic adviser, trusted partner and speaker, supporting leaders and organisations facing significant change. She has built a successful portfolio career spanning business, healthcare, academia, charitable work and the development of new ventures. Through this experience, she has gained a deep understanding of what it takes to translate decades of achievement into a next chapter that feels both meaningful and distinctly one’s own.

Kate Eady
For more than three decades, Kate has worked alongside founders, business owners and senior leadership teams, helping organisations of every size navigate change, create clarity and stand apart in increasingly competitive markets.
Beginning her career as a stylist and creative before building her own successful business, Kate combines commercial strategy with creative thinking to help people recognise what makes them different, shape commercially viable propositions and communicate them with confidence. From defining routes to market and building distinctive brands to directing photography, film and creative content, her work has always centred on one question: what makes this remarkable?
Kate also understands reinvention personally. After more than 33 years as a business owner, she knows what it means to question what success looks like, adapt through different stages of life and work, and create space for renewed purpose, creativity and contribution. Her own experience gives her a grounded understanding of identity, confidence, change and the courage required to shape something new without disregarding everything that came before.
